Approach

My work is grounded in my practical experience as a three-time CEO and senior leader at high-growth private and public companies at all stages. You’ll get the benefit of many lessons learned, lots of scars, and some muscle too.

Our sessions usually start with a simple question: “what’s on your mind?”

Every exec has pressing and complicated issues, and we will jump right in and work together to address. My goal is to be your biggest supporter and your secret weapon, someone who’s been there before, and cares deeply about your success. Our time together is designed to help you get clarity and focus on the most important things and move them forward.

Core Tenets of the Practice

  • The key is to face the truth as it is, rather than how we want it to be. This involves honestly evaluating ourselves, recognizing our strengths, and recognizing areas where we can improve. As a fellow operator, you can count on direct, candid feedback from me. I will hold you accountable.

  • I encourage you to dream beyond your current limitations. This tenet is about imagining what could be possible if we momentarily ignored the current constraints and set goals based on your hopes, dreams, visions, and often investor and market expectations.

  • Practical tools and frameworks can help turn aspirations into tangible outcomes. By planning strategically and working backwards from our goals, we outline clear, actionable steps to success.

  • Success also hinges on how well we connect with and lead others. Candor (aka “RealTalk”) builds trust within teams and networks. Teams follow leaders, and it all starts here.

  • Enjoy the journey. You are more than just your title at work. How can you craft a life that balances all the sides of you, and have fun doing it? Integrating joy and positivity into the pursuit of excellence makes the process as rewarding as the outcomes.

Coaching for me is an opportunity to be that helpful partner in someone’s journey. It’s about sharing the lessons I’ve learned and helping others to not just envision their success but to actively prepare for it. I believe in a balanced approach where ambition meets well-being, ensuring that you’re not only achieving your goals but also enjoying the path to them.

This isn’t about pushing you through a boot camp; it’s about walking with you, understanding your unique needs, and providing the tools and support to help you excel. It’s about being greater than yesterday, not through pressure, but through partnership and accountability.

So, how can I help?
