Critical Moments: A Podcast!

I am as surprised as you are — does the world need another podcast? We’ll see, I guess.

As I start on this new chapter of my career, I’m experimenting with a lot of things. How do I build pipeline? Who is my ideal customer. Etc, etc…

One thing I want to figure out is how to both stay connected to the network that I’ve built over the past 30 years and how to use those relationships to help others. I’m lucky to have worked with and met lots of great leaders and they all have great stories to tell.

So, I’m trying something new. A podcast. But, I want this podcast to be different.

Most podcasts on tech glorify the industry or focus on the outliers. But what about the real people who build real companies and are living real lives? What are the moments and learnings that they’ve had?

How do real people build careers, companies, and families? All too often, our tech media is over-polished and scripted and self-referential. Not every CEO is a tech-bro. Tech needs real conversations about the real challenges, big and small, from which we can learn. We only get better when we share our true selves and talk about the real things that matter with candor, vulnerability, humor, and more.

With that, I’m proud to introduce Critical Moments, my new podcast that dives into the nitty-gritty of building careers and companies in tech. This series isn’t about glorifying outliers or the most famous names. It’s about real people facing pivotal moments in their lives and careers—the kind of moments that define who we are and who we become.

I’ve seen firsthand how these critical moments shape success. On the podcast, I sit down with CEOs, executives, investors, and advisors to explore their most meaningful turning points. We talk about the hard choices, the lessons learned, and the human side of leadership that often goes untold.

What makes Critical Moments different is its focus on authenticity. We strip away the over-polished narratives to share candid, vulnerable, and honest conversations. Some stories end in celebration; others with hard lessons learned. But every episode offers actionable insights and inspiration for navigating your own journey.

The first two episodes of Season One are now live — great conversations with Matt Blumberg and Cristina Miller. New episodes will drop regularly. Thank you to all the great peeps who have been interviewed for Season One so far.

Check it out on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Please subscribe and let me hear from you. Your thoughts and suggestions for future guests and topics are welcome!
